Set up in 2003 by Dr Clare Carden, Carden Consulting gives practical, impartial advice on how to reduce energy consumption and cost to a wide range of non-domestic organisations from golf clubs to charity-run care homes, and from offices to engineering workshops, whether to meet mandatory ESOS requirements, or simply because a client wants to reduce the energy costs and/or CO2 emissions.
Clare Carden seeks to understand her clients’ needs and, following analysis of current energy consumption, identifies a range of cost-effective solutions which may, or may not, include renewable energy options.
Carden Consulting also delivers certificated Energy Awareness Training, which supports all organisations keen to improve their environmental credentials, and especially those with ISO50001 and ISO14001, who need to demonstrate their staff have appropriate environmental and energy awareness. Clare can also assist in various ways to guide organisations in other aspects of their ISO certifications.
Some of Clare’s clients have engaged her services to draw up tender briefs for installers of renewable energy installations and to guide them in the selection process. Others have sought her input to assess why their renewable installations are not delivering the benefits claimed in quotation documents.
